Master Builders Tasmania welcomes Minister Brooks as the new building and construction Minister
Master Builders Welcomes Minister Brooks and Congratulates Minister Gutwein
Master Builders Tasmania (MBT) congratulates Adam Brooks on his appointment as Building and Construction Minister, a newly created portfolio that MBT has lobbied for over a number of decades.
Mr Kerschbaum, MBT’s Executive Director said, “The elevation of Adam Brooks to Minister for Building and Construction is a great appointment. Adam has shown great interest in the building and construction sector and has engaged really well with the Association and its members. We look forward to working with him, especially during this critical period as the Government prepares to negotiate the passage of a number of building related Bills through Parliament.Unfortunately the Minister won’t have much time to get his feet under the table as the final consultation on the Building and Occupational Licensing Bills has just occurred.”
Mr Kerschbaum added, “It is especially pleasing to see the importance of the Building and Construction industry recognised with the appointment of a Minister for the portfolio. This is something that MBT has advocated for over many years.”
Mr Kerschbaum concluded, “MBT would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the excellent achievements of Minister Gutwein during his tenure as Minister. The new Minister certainly has very large shoes to fill in the building portfolio with Peter doing an exemplary job in the building and construction area. ”
