Technical

MBT provides a wide range of technical services for its members. The Association has the in-house expertise to advise members on issues relating to the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards as well as state, federal and local government requirements. Members are constantly kept up to date via the national offices, Tech Talk circulars as well the regular updates on local regulatory issues and changes.

In addition to these services the Association provides technical circulars on various issues of interest to keep members out of trouble and in the loop on matters as diverse as fixing plasterboard and working near power lines.

The Association also liaises with the government on a number of technical issues such as the energy efficiency requirements in the Building Code and Planning Reform to ensure that industry is heard on these matters.
